Foreword: August begins with a bang and a new Moon solar eclipse in Leo on August 1. And if that wasn't enough Leo drama for you, following comes a full Moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 16. Eclipses are an astrological event where one planet moves in front of another causing a shadow. In the case of a solar eclipse, the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the light from the Sun. A solar eclipse always occurs along with a new Moon marking new beginnings. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, again blocking the light from the Sun. A lunar eclipse always occurs during a full Moon and signals endings.
If you've been wondering why headlines in the news have been so dramatic lately, part of that can most likely be attributed to the solar eclipse coming on August 1. Eclipses usually deliver their news or messages -- if not on the actual date they occur -- within 4 days, or at least one month later, and sometimes up to six months later. The fact that a lunar eclipse is following within two weeks is most likely what will make August seem like drama central.
Eclipses bring news of big events -- usually life-changing events -- such as, changes in jobs or career, change of locations or residences, graduations, education, divorce, loss of a job or loss of some kind, births or the news of the coming of a birth, engagements, marriage, sale or purchase of property, business deals or the start of a new business, health related issues or surgery. If an eclipse falls on your birthday you should protect yourself against illness by bolstering your immune system and getting enough rest, exercise and proper diet.

New beginnings abound for you as you begin to see a new source of income rolling in. This can be either from a new job you acquire to a new source of creative income. If money has been an issue for you lately, this nice change should help ease the load. Saturn is still touring Virgo and has been pushing you since July 2007. You will have to put up with the lessons of Saturn until October 2009, I am sorry to say. This is an opportunity for you to make things right in your life, so don't try to ignore the work being presented to you. Saturn is called the taskmaster planet for a reason, that reason being work. You will most likely be pushed to work harder and to take care of areas in your life that require fixing. Do the work, and you will be better off for it. You may be driving yourself crazy paying attention to details more than usual. Virgo is a detail oriented sign, so be careful not to make yourself nuts. You may find that you have more depression than usual, also. This is because of Saturn. Do not ignore your health, rather seek help weather you are having digestive problems or problems with depression. (virgos have a tendency to feel it in their gut when things are not going well, and it manifests as digestive issues.) Because you are an earth sign, Virgo, you are a practical person and you seek perfection. Saturn in Virgo is going to intensify your need for perfection, and your pursuits in a practical way, and this will most likely cause you to feel overburdened, overworked -- which is hard to do to a workaholic sign -- and overly sensitive to criticism and ridicule. You'll be okay, Virgo, if you can take one thing at a time, and remember this won't be forever, and when Saturn leaves you in October 2009, it will leave you with a gift for all your hard work.
In the past, you have spent an awful lot of time being Mr. Nice Guy. That is just a figure of speech for all you female Virgos out there. But think about it, where has that gotten you? I mean, it is important to be nice to people, and to be there for your loved ones, but not to the point where you sacrifice your own well being. You have always been the one to clean up other's messes -- because you just can't stand a mess -- and that is a wonderful way to be for people. People have grown accustomed to depend on your support and help. It makes you feel wanted doesn't it? Be careful that this does not become your downfall, though. You can be supportive, but to a point.
There has been some deceitful activity that has taken place without your knowledge. The unfortunate part of this energy is that someone close to you attempted to pull the wool over your eyes, and may have even succeeded. By the time you became aware of it, it could have cost you quite a bit such as your trust, your faith, your emotional or mental health, even your wallet. This deceitful action is directly related to the good news you receive. So the indication would be it wasn't a total devastation. And the lesson here is important because it may have been meant to teach you how to not be quite so trusting, or to not be so arrogant that you think you know someone well enough. The very person who did this to you -- or tried to -- may have been someone you thought you knew a little better. Is it possible that because of your nice guy helpfulness, you helped the very person who then turned on you? If it hadn't been for you this person would not have become what he/she did? Is it possible that your love for this person has been what has blinded you to the possibility that he/she could stoop so low as to take advantage of you? All food for thought, I presume. And something you really should be paying closer attention to and I will tell you why. This will also be a time where you will be developing a heightened intuition. Paying closer attention to detail comes easily to you, but is also what helps in using your intuition.
Coming up in your immediate future, probably mid-month, you will be made an offer by this very same person who you should not be trusting. A wolf in sheep's clothing? Perhaps. More like, most definetly. Because this is a full moon lunar eclipse, this person is most likely a woman, because lunar is a female energy. Pay attention to what I am telling you here, because if you have read my readings in the past, you will know I know what I am talking about. There is a very strong possibility that this very same person will extend an offer to you, which on the surface looks great. Maybe it will make good on the damage that was done? Please keep in mind that altough some astrological aspects are good, others will be getting in your way and can change the aspects to a contentious event. Avoid confrontation if you can, simply smile and say, "thanks, but no thanks." The sooner you can learn to let go of this person, the better off you will be. You need to release this person's energy from yours in order to free yourself once and for all. My concern here is that you decide one more time to trust this person -- the offer looks great and makes a lot of sense and just may resolve your problems -- BUT...once you do, this person will be walking away with what he/she does not have a right to take, and it will be while your attention is turned toward something else. Please heed this warning.
This month is more about you learning how to develop a new truth for yourself, and then learn how to live by that truth. This is important because it is all about learning to follow the beat of your own drum, in order to achieve personal happiness and gratification. Sometimes in order to do this, we have to become creative and adventurous and be willing to step outside of the box that society expects you to conform to remaining within. Go ahead, Virgo, I dare you to color outside of the lines! Develop your truth, and live by it.
Don't be afraid to be the master of your own destiny, the ruler of your own universe, the captain of your ship. You are learning how to manifest your desires, and realizing that we create that which we conceive in thought. You must begin to take an active role in creating your future as you would like to see it rather than playing a passive role in your own life.
Currently you are juggling more than one thing to keep everything running smoothly in your life. You may be taking on a little too much work, but you do juggle things well. Be careful not to overburden yourself with work that you can easily delegate to others in order to ease your load. This is a time for new beginnings, as well as endings, so be mindful to plant seeds you can cultivate and grow in order to achieve your goals.
By month's end you will be feeling a little better about your achievements. You will attain some of your goals and be able to say that these are results of your hard work, dedication, creativity, and determination.
