Foreword: August begins with a bang and a new Moon solar eclipse in Leo on August 1. And if that wasn't enough Leo drama for you, following comes a full Moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 16. Eclipses are an astrological event where one planet moves in front of another causing a shadow. In the case of a solar eclipse, the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the light from the Sun. A solar eclipse always occurs along with a new Moon marking new beginnings. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, again blocking the light from the Sun. A lunar eclipse always occurs during a full Moon and signals endings.

If you've been wondering why headlines in the news have been so dramatic lately, part of that can most likely be attributed to the solar eclipse coming on August 1. Eclipses usually deliver their news or messages -- if not on the actual date they occur -- within 4 days, or at least one month later, and sometimes up to six months later. The fact that a lunar eclipse is following within two weeks is most likely what will make August seem like drama central. 

Eclipses bring news of big events -- usually life-changing events -- such as, changes in jobs or career, change of locations or residences, graduations, education, divorce, loss of a job or loss of some kind, births or the news of the coming of a birth, engagements, marriage, sale or purchase of property, business deals or the start of a new business, health related issues or surgery. If an eclipse falls on your birthday you should protect yourself against illness by bolstering your immune system and getting enough rest, exercise and proper diet.

I am not an astrologer, so I get my information from other sources in order to have a better comprehension of universal timings, and how to interpret my own readings. Having a good working knowledge of astrology will help you to know how to proceed through your daily life, along with enhancing the readings you may be doing for yourself. And now for your August forecast.

You may not be affected at all directly by these eclipses, Taurus, because they may not be hitting your chart in any way. You may just be observing all the drama through the media or others surrounding you. You do, however seem to have a general feeling of a sense of loss, this month. You seem to be focusing on what you've lost rather than on what you still have. You need to remember to count your blessings in times like these in order to help yourself to feel better. With economic times being what they are currently, you may have lost money in stocks, or just because things are so much higher in cost right now. That's enough to get a Taurus all in a tizzy and upset.

You begin the month of August, however, with some major trust issues you are dealing with. Possibly you have some concerns at the workplace regarding others actions. You may be thinking that someone you work with is looking to pull the wool over your eyes in a particular business action. Or maybe you don't trust making any investments -- especially if it is a new venture --  with the economy being the way it is. Maybe you just don't trust the economy in general. Or, maybe you need to watch out for someone you deal with -- or will be dealing with -- in business who may try to pull the wool over your eyes, or deceive you in some way. Just know that this type of deceit never comes face to face, rather it will be behind your back.

Well good news is coming, anyway. You will receive some good news either by telephone, letter or fax, or even by word of mouth. Pay attention to subtle things going on around you, because your good news might not be that obvious, you may just hear something in passing and realize it applies to you. This can work in your favor especially if the good news comes in the form of a warning, protecting you from this possibility of deceitful actions, which could hurt you if you are not paying attention. 

In the recent past you have experienced a successful new beginning after what has been a particularly difficult time. You have a tendency to be the peacemaker and in business this can be a very useful skill, especially with your competitive nature, you like to win. The peacemaker usually comes out on top. This has proven to be a solid foundation for you and will protect you from being taken advantage of later on. You are a good manager, and it will be unlikely that someone would gain an advantage over you to the point where you suffer consequences financially.

You currently, however, have an overall sense of disappointment in your progress -- financially and professionally -- because you feel as though you should have been much farther along by now. You feel that you've worked so hard, for so long, and your efforts just haven't seemed to pay off in the way that you expected. This is where your sense of loss is coming in to play, and you are focusing on what you have lost rather than what you have gained. You can begin to turn this around by shifting your focus to what you do have. Keep in mind that what you focus on expands, and what you actually create for yourself, so you need to keep your focus positive.

In the case of the trust issues, you may not be experiencing anything to do with deceitful action against you, rather this may be a time where you are evolving to a more heightened ability to be intuitive. Taurus people are naturally intuitive in a witch-like kind of way to begin with, and this just may be a time where you will benefit from following your intuition more closely, and paying attention to messages that may come through dreams, and or psychic visions.

By mid-month you will find yourself in a work situation where you will be called upon to work with a group of people. You may find this is where the trust issues flare up, and cooperation will be what you need to get through successfully. The group will have to cooperate with each other in order for this project to be a success. If you are not working outside of the home, then you will need to apply this to your home and family, or other relationships.

A new beginning regarding money and finances will be coming up by mid-month as well. This can also be energy that is a conception of a new idea. Any one of these scenarios may apply to you: a new job, a new source of income, the conception of a creative idea or even the conception of a baby. Whatever you will be experiencing will be a positive new beginning for you. Most likely, because you are a Taurus, this will be in the area of finances and money.

The more I look at this reading, Taurus, the more I am convinced that there is one person in particular causing you concern. Whether this is someone in the workplace, a business associate, a family member or personal relationship, your concerns are about how much control this person seems to want. This is a person who has to be in charge, and wants to call the shots, and is just as fixed in personality as you are. Remember fixed in astrological terms means stubborn. You will have to stop focusing on how much concern this person causes you and begin to focus on what the benefits will be to stay connected with this person. You may have to begin to look at this person for what his or her good points are rather than bad. You may need to begin to see all of the positive qualities and focus on those. This entire situation and how it moves forward actually may rest in your hands and your ability to shift your focus. Just remember to always keep your eyes and ears open, and do not assume at any time that this person can be totally or completely trusted.

By month's end you will begin to get what I am saying about your need to shift your focus. You may have to make a complete 180 in how you view this entire situation, and more so, your approach. Once you can do that, and also let go of some of the control and give it up to the universe to ensure a positive outcome, you will begin to see attainment of success. In spite of how everything looks right now, Taurus, the future is sunny and bright.
