July 2008 forecast for Virgo

July becomes a real turning point for everyone, Virgo, because it comes right after the celebration of the summer solstice. Depending on the source you check you may find June 20 as the date of the solstice, and June 21 as an alternative date. Whichever date the solstice falls on, it begins the season of summer, which begins an interesting time in your reading.

Mercury was retrograde for most of June, which really sucked. The good news is it is over now, and has been direct for about a week and a half by the time we move into July. That means we can begin summer with full speed ahead. You may have found June to feel somewhat stagnant and slow-moving. That is what happens during a Mercury retrograde, but I found it to be nothing more than a mild nuisance. I really didn't experience too many communication flare-ups or foul-ups -- some minor computer issues, nothing major -- and otherwise an uneventful June. What I did notice, however, was I was doing a great deal of reviewing my recent past, and re-evaluating where I'd like to go when I move forward, and refocusing on how to make things happen. Notice the re- that comes before these words. That's a hint as to what you can do to muddle through a Mercury retrograde, so next time it comes around you don't feel as though you'd like to bury your head in the sand somewhere. Hopefully you found yourself to be introspective as well during the month of June, so let's take a look at July.

The season of summer is a good time to reap what you've sown. Hopefully you planted seeds in the spring and you are now seeing them come to fruition in the summer. You may have been cultivating some plantings since the fall season, even. This, of course, is a metaphor I use to infer creative endeavors you initiate in order to manifest what you want. Using the different seasons along with astrological events -- such as Mercury retrograde, or not -- to help you in your endeavors can ensure proper timing. For example, you wouldn't really want to try and initiate anything in the winter season, although this is an excellent time to be reviewing and preparing for new beginnings in the spring.

As far as July goes, you begin the month feeling as though you have suffered a total loss. You are very pre-occupied with -- and focused on -- all you've lost rather than recognizing what you've gained. This is an energy that is meant to teach you about counting your blessings. I'm not here to preach to you about what you are doing wrong, however, you being a person who pays an awful lot of attention to detail should be concentrating more on what you do have.

Probably what is not helping your situation any is the fact you are also very attentive to your home and now you are not in a position to be doing any work in your home. This probably depresses you and makes you feel defeated. You like very much fixing up your living space. You should probably not be spending any additional money right now on things for your home.

In the past you suffered a real crisis, which most likely was the catalyst to what is going on now. Here is the real reason why that occurred, if you'd like to know. Whenever a situation -- or structure -- is built upon a foundation that is not secure, the structure is bound to fail. What makes it weak, and subject to failing, is that it is a foundation built from ego.  Ego is actually quite frafile, and reacts to stressful conditions rather than responds to it. What that means is better explained with the metaphor of the willow tree and the oak tree. Under stressful conditions such as a storm, the oak tree -- strong as it may be -- is so rigid it can crack and break under the intense strength of a storm wind. The willow, however, is wiry and bendable -- it knows how to bend and sway with the wind -- and as a result will not break. Going with the flow, swaying in the breeze, becoming one with the storm wind, is rooted in a spiritual wisdom, which will carry you through any storm. The lesson here is -- and for a Virgo this is tough -- to learn how to go with the flow, and be easy going and flexible in any situation.

More than likely, Virgo, you had a partnership that went sour. Whether this was a friendship, marriage, business partnership or whatever, it did not have the strength -- or the proper foundation -- to weather the storm. Now you have this situation where due to the breaking down of the relationship, you are suffering from loss. I have no idea what type of loss it is, but you can apply this information where it fits in your life. I just can't tell if you are lamenting over the loss of the relationship or the loss of everything else you had because of the relationship, or both.

Some of you Virgos may be experiencing a current relationship that is reminding you of a past relationship. In other words you are having some deja vu with this big time. By mid-month you will most definitely be experiencing a feeling as if issues from the past are coming back to haunt you. But the good thing about this type of situation is that hindsight is 20/20. You can use what you have learned from a similar situation in the past and apply it to your current issue.

Probably the most significant thing you are meant to learn this month, Virgo, is to be willing to walk away from all of this nonsense in search of a higher purpose for your life. You can free yourself from all of the difficult energies attached to this scenario if you would just be willing to walk away. You probably could release your attachment to all of it and re-invent yourself quite easily being you're such a creative type. But you are afraid to take the chance. It's almost as if you feel much more secure trying to fix what's broken because at least it's familiar rather than take a chance on the unknown. You are too busy feeling defeated to be brave enough to take a chance. You have to be willing to take a leap of faith because you believe in yourself, and you believe in your higher power enough that you will not fall, rather you will be exactly where you need to be.

If money is what you have been losing due to this situation, you do have a chance to fight for it toward month's end. You cannot be afraid to put your faith in a higher power and allow the Universe to be the driver for a while. You can't control everything. If you do put your faith in a higher power, you may find that it is as easy as that, and before you know it things are turning around for you. You do have the potential of cashing in on a settlement by month's end, so I would stay focused on what you have to gain rather than continue to cry over spilled milk. Remember one important thing, the more you focus on what you've lost, the more you keep yourself involved with an energy that is not serving you. It is not in your best interest to do that. You must begin to focus on releasing old patterns, releasing your attachments to old issues, situations, money, relationships, and yes, even people. Once you do that, you will be on your way to a whole new, much more rewarding and gratifying life.
