July 2008 forecast for Sagittarius

July becomes a real turning point for everyone, Sagittarius, because it comes right after the celebration of the summer solstice. Depending on the source you check you may find June 20 as the date of the solstice, and June 21 as an alternative date. Whichever date the solstice falls on, it begins the season of summer, which begins an interesting time in your reading.
 
Mercury was retrograde for most of June, which really sucked. The good news is it is over now, and has been direct for about a week and a half by the time we move into July. That means we can begin summer with full speed ahead. You may have found June to feel somewhat stagnant and slow-moving. That is what happens during a Mercury retrograde, but I found it to be nothing more than a mild nuisance. I really didn't experience too many communication flare-ups or foul-ups -- some minor computer issues, nothing major -- and otherwise an uneventful June. What I did notice, however, was I was doing a great deal of reviewing my recent past, and re-evaluating where I'd like to go when I move forward, and refocusing on how to make things happen. Notice the re- that comes before these words. That's a hint as to what you can do to muddle through a Mercury retrograde, so next time it comes around you don't feel as though you'd like to bury your head in the sand somewhere. Hopefully you found yourself to be introspective as well during the month of June.
 
The season of summer is a good time to reap what you've sown. Hopefully you planted seeds in the spring and you are now seeing them come to fruition in the summer. You may have been cultivating some plantings since the fall season, even. This, of course, is a metaphor I use to infer creative endeavors you initiate in order to manifest what you want. Using the different seasons along with astrological events -- such as Mercury retrograde, or not -- to help you in your endeavors can ensure proper timing. For example, you wouldn't really want to try and initiate anything in the winter season, although this is an excellent time to be reviewing and preparing for new beginnings in the spring.

Moving along into July you find yourself faced with a very important choice to be made. The outcome of this choice is of the utmost importance, so you need to be sure you make the right choice. Your issue coming into full focus this month is making the right choice. For some reason, though, having to make this choice puts you into a major crisis. Why is that? Are you so torn between two things, or issues, or people, that you simply do not know which choice would be the right one?

In order to know what the right choice is, you first need to be very sure -- or at least know -- what it is you truly want. Until you are definitively sure of what you want, you won't know what is the right choice. How could you? If you really knew what you wanted it would be no problem making the choice.

It seems as though this is causing a real crisis for you. Could it be that your reaction to this dilemma is far worse than the actual situation itself? Consider this for a moment, it really isn't all that much of a crisis but your reaction is making it take that much longer to make your choice. You, and only you, can know what is most important to you. No matter what your personal choice is, whether it is job related, business, relationship, or whatever...you still operate from the same basic foundation.

So let's take a look at your foundation because that is what will help you determine why you are having so much difficulty. And keep in mind that a truly strong foundation is built from a spiritual reverence, not from an ego-based ideal. In other words, an ego-based ideal makes for a fragile foundation because it is based on ideals that may not sustain you in times of real challenge. However, a spiritual reverence will always sustain you through whatever may come your way, because your beliefs are centered in that, which is not concrete rather in energy -- it is fluid, and ever-changing. That being said, you must determine if your foundation is ego-based or spiritual. Most likely, if this choice is causing this much strife for you, your foundation is ego-based and you need to go back to square one to re-evaluate where you are coming from to begin with.

In the past, you got exactly what you wished for. Or, at least wish fulfilment was what you were shooting for. And it is also very possible that this wish, whatever your desire was, is what pushed you into this present situation. One thing for sure is, a new beginning was the catalyst to your current dilemma. Whether this was a new job, or a new creative idea such as a pregnancy, or even a new relationship...once the newness wore off...you were faced with a choice. Is it possible that the desire was what was ego-based? Did you bite off more than you could chew? Were you obsessed with something you should not have been? Or were you just afraid? I can tell you one thing, this new beginning whatever it was, has caused you to feel trapped and stuck in a situation where now you can't see your way out. Well, don't panic yet; there's nothing worse than a Sagittarian feeling stuck.

Good news is on its way. Potential good news will come rolling in by mid-month. What can it be? I have no idea but I sure do hope it comes your way because by  mid-month you begin to focus on where you are and you are not satisfied with the results. You begin to feel disappointed with all that you have managed to accomplish to date, and feel that after all your efforts you should have been further along by now.

Part of all this is financially related, if not all of it, and what you may be failing to realize is that most people are feeling that right now with our economy the way it is. So, for example, if you began a new job in the recent past, and at first you were excited about it but now not so much, you might be financially committed to this new job to the point where you just cannot leave. It may not be enough money, but it's the best you could come up with at the time. You took it out of fear? Now you are stuck? This is just one example, but you can apply this to wherever it fits in your personal life.

Don't be afraid you can't make it work. If you are in a situation where there is not enough money -- and that might even be a romantic relationship -- you can still make it work. If you are trying to make a choiced based on money alone, then there is your ego-based foundation. Not that money is not important, because it is, but you must pay attention to your soul-needs. Money may not be what it is you really want -- or need -- after all. It seems as though right now you are not paying attention to what is really available to you. You are focused on loss, it seems, and to me it seems as though you have lost faith in what really matters to you. Time to re-focus.

You have turned your back on your true desires to go after something that represented security to you. Now you are left with a dilemma that has trapped you into a stalemate. You've been romanced to the dark side and you are struggling to find your way back. Wow. Maybe you should contact George Lucas to find out how the story ends because you're not doing such a good job writing yourself a happy ending. Focus on trust, believing, and having faith. Focus on trusting your own intuition and follow your heart for a change, and not your head. You will be so much better off if you stop thinking and start doing.

By month's end you will find you are ready to move forward. There will be a feeling of an acceleration in your personal affairs and that will help you. Take some time to not think about things, though, because you really could use the break. Have a little faith in following your heart and see where it leads you.
