Foreword: August begins with a bang and a new Moon solar eclipse in Leo on August 1. And if that wasn't enough Leo drama for you, following comes a full Moon lunar eclipse in Aquarius on August 16. Eclipses are an astrological event where one planet moves in front of another causing a shadow. In the case of a solar eclipse, the Moon moves between the Sun and the Earth, blocking the light from the Sun. A solar eclipse always occurs along with a new Moon marking new beginnings. A lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth moves between the Sun and the Moon, again blocking the light from the Sun. A lunar eclipse always occurs during a full Moon and signals endings.
If you've been wondering why headlines in the news have been so dramatic lately, part of that can most likely be attributed to the solar eclipse coming on August 1. Eclipses usually deliver their news or messages -- if not on the actual date they occur -- within 4 days, or at least one month later, and sometimes up to six months later. The fact that a lunar eclipse is following within two weeks is most likely what will make August seem like drama central.
Eclipses bring news of big events -- usually life-changing events -- such as, changes in jobs or career, change of locations or residences, graduations, education, divorce, loss of a job or loss of some kind, births or the news of the coming of a birth, engagements, marriage, sale or purchase of property, business deals or the start of a new business, health related issues or surgery. If an eclipse falls on your birthday you should protect yourself against illness by bolstering your immune system and getting enough rest, exercise and proper diet.

And now for your August forecast.
August for Gemini seems like it's all about tying up loose ends. I hope that makes sense for you. You may be experiencing some trust issues based on some recent and past experiences that have taken their toll on your emotions. You may have discovered that someone was being deceitful behind your back, and attempted to pull the wool over your eyes. I can't imagine that that goes over very well with a Gemini. But, you also should consider that this may be a time where you are being pressured by the Universe to evolve, and evolving can sometimes be messy, or painful, or just plain complicated. Once you come through it, though, you can see yourself in a whole new light. You will find you have a heightened sense of psychic awareness, and possibly your dreams become more informative, as well.
You will find that this month your are very focused on family and seeking happiness for the family unit as a whole. The realization of your personal hopes and dreams may or not be tied in to that as well. If you are a Gemini who is recently seeing the collapse of your family as a unit, possibly a divorce, break-up or loss of some kind, it may have been a long time coming. For some of you this might be a miscarriage, but please, if you are pregnant right now do not assume I am making this prediction for you. If this is something that happens to you, though, be aware that everything happens for a reason, and when a miscarriage occurs it means the baby was not viable. Another attempt will be successful. It may also be that what I am seeing is a past miscarriage has affected you to feel insecure about a future attempt. Don't allow that to get in your way because this is a creative time period for you, and you just might be successful this time around.
Miscarriage, on the other hand, could be a metaphor for other things happening in your life. You may have, in the recent past, had a creative idea you thought you would get to materialize, and then your plans just kind of fell through. The energy wasn't enough to materialize. The plan was not a viable one for you. And the Universe has something better in store. Try to accept that as you move through the next few weeks.
By mid-month, you will find that getting what you wanted, or what you thought you wanted, turned out to be you didn't want it after all. In other words, you change your mind. How odd for a Gemini? Not. It happens, especially when you take on something or rush into something without really thinking it through. You may, on the other hand, find yourelf in a position where you could potentially be taken advantage of. I hope this is not the case, but understand you may have put yourself into a situation where it was easy for another person to exploit you. I am hoping you see the light about this, and cut this person from your life. Just remember, when you cut something away, it is usually because it is not working for you, and the loss is replaced by something better.
You may have recognized certain generous qualities in this particular person, which led you to believe things could work. The reality of the situation may bring you a whole new perspective on how you see things. What you might have failed to recognize in the energy surrounding you lately is that you have closed a chapter in your life. Sometimes people fail to recognize the signs of this, and forget to move forward. Moving forward is an essential part of life, as everything always is changing and shifting. We learn certain lessons about our lives -- and ourselves in our lives -- and then we take those lessons forward with us as we begin a new chapter. If you find you are repeating past behaviors then you are not moving forward, and certainly not giving yourself an opportunity to grow and to prove you've learned something along the way. And that is why you may very well find yourself in this predicament come mid-month.
Don't be afraid to seek the help you need, should you feel you need it. Whether that be a doctor, mental health practitioner, spiritual advisor, or a lawyer, go for the outside help if need be. But most of all, if you are experiencing trepidations and doubts about a particular person in your energy space right now, you need to listen to that. You need to pay attention because very often your fears or trepidations are your guides getting in touch with you -- it's your intuition screaming at you -- and what is the rush? Allow things to unfold, and wait and see what is shown to you. Patience, my Gemini friend, patience. This is all a learning process, life is your school and you are the student. I know you would rather be the teacher, but right now, you are the student.
You might also be operating off of past fears. If this is the case, you need to get in touch with those feelings. Are you reacting to past hurts and anxieties, or are you sensing something negative to come. This is a confusing part of developing your intuiton -- something you are also doing at this time -- so pay attention to that. When it is a fear, you obsess about it. When it is your intuition giving you a psychic message, you know it, and that is all. You are secure with the knowing and you do not even question it, that is the difference. If you get a sense that this person in your life is something good for you, you may just be getting in your own way with your fears. The good news is, you will know the difference. And, in spite of how everything looks right now, the future is sunny and bright. You are actually on a very successful path, so hang in there, and know that you will be happy very soon.
The reason you may be feeling as though everything around you right now is contentious, is most likely due to all the planetary movements this month. But, it doesn't help you that you are also at a crossroads in your life. It's hard enough as it is for a Gemini to have one solid focus being you are the sign of the twins, but you really have no focus right now at all. Until you can narrow things down to one specific focus, with maybe a secondary one for your twin, you will continue to feel scattered and unsure. Don't force it either, you will truly have to wait and see what develops by month's end. There is another new moon by then and you will have an entirely new perspective on life. Let that Sun warm your face with its positive energy for a bright and sunny future.
